“Third-party exports” means exports made by an exporter or manufacturer on behalf of another exporter(s). In such cases, shipping bills shall indicate the name of both the exporter/ manufacturer and exporter(s).”

Here, the third party obtains the export order from the overseas buyer & the third party may not have the required goods. In this scenario, he procures the goods, at a lesser price, from another manufacturer and exports it to the overseas buyer. Generally, the third party pays in INR to the local manufacturer and receives payment in foreign currency (USD, EUR, JPY) etc from the overseas buyer.
